That E-Life!!!

Hello Loves,

I recently saw this word in a magazine and instantly a lightbulb went off in my head. E-LIFE!!! Wow, we have definitely come upon the age where our E-Life is so much more important than your everyday life. The realness is that you should really have an even line between the both.

One thing I don’t believe in, is portraying a more magnificent E-Life than my regular life. It seems tiring to me. It seems like another job. It seems like a fairy tale.

Why can’t you just live a fairy tale daily? Even if you have to create it yourself. I can answer that with one word. MINDSET.

We are programmed drones sometimes. The mothership is the Internet and we are the drones. The way to get your life and your fairy tale back is to unplug sometimes for the mothership. People are smart. Consumers are conscious. At some point, they will figure it out.

Spend at least 15 minutes a day for the rest of the year, diving deep into your mind and what you know is not causing you to produce your best. I am not saying this because I am getting ready to release my end of year, “Mind Your Life” 30 day mini program. I am saying this because its important. Your quality of life for 2018 depends on it.

My end of this blog advice statement….. Make sure that you E-Life and your Life mirror each other.

Where She Got Her Money?

Love Davis Shot 2.jpg
Love Davis Shot 4.jpg

There is an underlying conversation, notion, mention and thought that “All of a sudden a girl involved in MLM and has become a Millionaire” is not a real Entrepreneur.

Oh, so she is motivator!!  She is an author!!! Oh she is a business coach!!! She is a life coach!!!

We have so much to say. Why?

IMG_9730.JPG

Have you dug deep enough into the lives of the Forbes Billionaire list? No!! Well you should. There are MEN on that list that have gotten their initial start from drugs, prostitution, robbery and other illegal activities. But we don't turn our nose up at them because they are on THE LIST!!

(Wooooh, that was a little rant.....back to what I was blogging about)

IMG_9701.JPG

Part of this amazing thought process that is “extremely false”, comes from the fact that a girl (who is already CEO-minded) chooses a different path to make her money and then build her brand.

Love Davis Shot 3.jpg

Is it okay that she does it this way? Of course, it is. If you don’t know that most Multi-Millionaires have or have had (i.e… started with a  MLM for business footing) a stream of income from a MLM business, then you shouldn’t be in business.

Love Davis Shot 1.jpg

It’s proven. In 2018, if you don’t have several streams of income, how do you plan to survive and build. You can’t support communities if you don’t have the income. You can’t create jobs if you don’t have the income. You can’t build a great brand without resources. Resources require income so you can empower others at what they are good at doing.

We are living in a noisy society where people want to know everything. As a youtuber, I get to choose how and what I share. We all do. Where and how I get my money is purely optional information. Who cares if a Girl CEO, Girl Boss made a million from Multi Level Marketing.

We need to be more sensitive to knowing that they have a skill that we might not have and want to learn. Please understand that you have to have a special set of personality to even compete in that game. Most people leave out or stay out because it goes against the grain of the norm. It’s normal to go to work and just collect that paycheck. It’s normal to do what’s safe and unlooked at.

Biz Rules for Girls Who Stand Out

IMG_0735.JPG
IMG_0766.JPG

Hello Loves,

It’s your favorite Business, Lifestyle and Fashion Blogger!!!

Well it’s been a long time coming. I am sitting here like, “Wow when is the last time I have put out a business blog post.” You guys know that I love the business of creating businesses. As we round up 2017 and move into a new year, I want us to look back so we can do more forward thinking.

Forward thinking is the most important tool you can take into 2018 with you. I created a challenge to end the year. It’s a mindset challenge. What would happen if you really could put on your blinders and focus on what you mentally take in and can achieve.

IMG_0821.JPG

Here are my list of rules for my Boss Girls for the next cycle.

1.) Go bright or go home.

Going bright means several things. First you want to let your sparkle shine bright. Even when you think no one is watching, they are. Wear bright colors, smile, put on a red lip. Get your whole self together.

2.) If you don’t get “Why is everybody doing/selling….?” then grind a little bit harder and get more visible. In my last rule, I stated that they are watching. How can someone ask you this question if it’s not happening? Trends are trends for a reason. Life as well as business happens in cycles which of course produces trends. Trends produce opportunities. If you continue to watch the opportunities happen, then you are aren’t being a productive citizen in this world.

3.) Build your digital Skill Set.

It is definitely an overwhelming thought, I know. I mean you can literally learn a new skill on a daily basis. None the less, as the boss, you have to make sure you are learning new technical skills daily, or you are aware of the new skills out there so someone on your team is aware. Either way, Be In The Know!!

4.) Add one more stream of income before the year is out.

Every Entrepreneur on this planet, needs to have multiple streams of income. As you build an empire, you should require this of your team as well. They can bring so much to the table. We are moving into a realm where work days will be shorter and more creative. The office will literally be everywhere and so will the consumers.

IMG_0941.JPG
IMG_0973.JPG

5.) Become more visible.

If you are asking yourself, how? My basic answer would be to blog more, talk more, go live more and record yourself more.

6.) Think globally.

How in this day and age can you not? Social apps have allowed us to become global consumers, friends and entrepreneurs. Just embrace it and spread your glitter.

7.) Save as much as possible and bootstrap it.

I am learning this the hard way. When I was younger I used to envision myself as this corporate woman with all of these employees building my fashion empire. Now it probably looks more like a small team of creatives with a common goal.

8.) Record it!!!

I am learning this the hard way. But transparency is the name of the game. To win you have to be present. To be present, you have to have have evidence. The evidence is in the video!!

"Fallin" On A Budget

IMG_1271.JPG
IMG_1134.JPG

Hello Loves,

It feels so good to be back on the blogging scene. I think that this last hiatus was me going through a bout of self hate as far as my blogging went. I felt like I couldn't put out the content I wanted consistently so I lost the feeling just a tad. But fast forward about six weeks later and I am glad to be back at my fingers moving across the keyboard again.

IMG_1145.JPG

This blog post is special to me for a few reasons. Number one, it's really my first one since I haven't worked with my photographer. Finding a new photographer has been a real challenge for me. Especially, since now everyone knows that you blog in the area and they want crazy prices to shoot. But secondly, I have come to terms with my everyday Streetstyle Chic style that I have wanted to share.

I think as bloggers/influencers, we tend to put ourselves against each other and want to only show the best. But reality is, it gets to expensive. And since I am 43 with a family, I have to make the best decisions for everyone.

IMG_1100.JPG
IMG_1185.JPG

I say all of that to say that this top, I had my eyes on since the summer. On a recent work trip to Chicago, I ran into J Crew and found it on the sale rack for an amazing price. I wanted to make and blog it, so you can run out and get it as well. It comes in multiple colors as well. This Merino Wool Tank Sweater is one of my Fall must-haves. I paired the look with an old swing skirt I got from Nordstrom Rack years ago. The Boots and Bag are from my online store AmourChic. And my fabulous necklace is from my online jewelry shop www.glamourgirljewels.com . The best part is that the necklace is my favorite as well and it only costs $25.

Style It Up Saturday

IMG_8804.JPG
IMG_8739.JPG

Hello Loves,

Saturday is and will forever be the day of styling up your life. For those of us who peruse the pages of magazines, window shop our favorite neighborhoods or even venture into the malls, we are styling something. Today, I ran out to shoot some looks for the online store social media pages and this look was shot last. It was the grittiest which is probably why I like it.

I took some oversized shorts, (because yes you should have at least one pair in your summer wardrobe. one of our lightweight transitional sweater with the back out, one luxe piece (my gucci belt), and one statement piece (my sparkly clutch). I threw that together with a pair of summer sandals to complete the look.

The Life of A Non FT Blogger and Youtube

DSC_8824.jpg
DSC_8841.jpg

Hey loves,

Oh how I wish I lived the days of being about to focus on content and planning out great lifestyle and business planning. The great thing about my life right now is that I can take more freedom in the summer because my full time job is in education. When you first start on this journey and dive into this occupation called blogging, it takes your breathe away.

The pure momentum of it all and the ups and downs of bursts of creativity themselves are enough. The ideas flow, you find opportunity in everything. You will find yourself diving into learning all kinds of new skills that you never thought you would touch.

DSC_8869.jpg

For example, I found myself hating the process of editing in photoshop. Now I realize that I don’t edit as much as I use it to create innovative picture frames. So on a given day, this is what it looks like.

  • I shoot my life on my iPhone or my camera
  • I work or edit business worksheets in indesign.
  • I look at Final Cut pro edition videos
  • I edit my own videos
  • I plan out content for videos and blog content
  • I cook dinner for my family
  • I do homework (when school is in session)
  • I watch other peoples content
  • I read something inspirational and something for entertainment
  • I strategize everyday on what I should be doing in the future and write it down
  • I market all my businesses
  • I work on individual projects for my clients
  • I record podcast content on anchor
  • I plan social media content
  • I learn something new about what I want to incorporate soon

Everyday will bring about different tasks at hand, but most center around content creation. In the digital space, that will be your most important. Good Daily Content, written, live and recorded. So I am now at a crossroads. Do I take the leap? When do I take the leap? I have kids, mortgage and tuition and its just me. I am holding my cards right now until God sees fit for something to move in my life. So timing is everything. Every step I take everyday is everything. I am willing to do the work and boy is it a lot.

My days are literally full, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Until Next Time….

The Start of 43

IMG_8387.JPG

Well Hello Loves,

As I am settling into this year of 43, I am reflecting on my last 365 days and what the next 364 days have in store for me. Like always, when things fall apart, I have to adjust and keep moving. My birthday weekend did not look like it looked in my head. But it was soooooo good. Real friends will always come through. This time around, because I am serious about the digital direction in my life and have fallen in love with this thing called Blogging.

I think what I thought was serious in August of 2016 was me finding my way, finding my style, getting comfortable with sharing myself and not trying to compete with everyone else. I still have so much growing to do and this is a lot of hard work. To mix this up a little, I am and extreme advocate for businesspreneurship. I love the era of this empowering movement that is happening in the digital space.

IMG_8370.JPG
IMG_8358.JPG

So I thought that I would share my goals for the next 365 days.

Goal One

I will write 4 posts a week on my blog.

Goal Two

I will record two videos a week for my youtube channel.

Goal Three

I will learn coding to perfect my website development skills.

Goal Four

I will go one 10 trips in the next 364 days and 4 of them will be partnerships.

Goal Five

I will create, deliver and implement 10 digital products to help empower Entrepreneurs. The success in it will be the testimonials that people are using it not the money.

Goal Six

Money Goal: I will bring in $50,000 in income without it coming from my 9-5 income.

Goal Seven

I will retire from my 9-5 unless I need one more year for vested retirement.

Goal Eight

I will publish a book and a business productivity journal.

Goal Nine

I will launch my online radio and television show.

Goal Ten

I will build a successful team for my jewelry business to simply promote partnership and success together.

Goal Eleven

I will set up my recording studio and office for my business.

Goal Twelve

I will attend NYFW.

This is a snapshot of my goals. I have sooooo many more in mind for the year. My year is aligned from my birthday to my birthday. I am a firm believer that what is written is real. Well, now you are my accountability partners. I need you to help me achieve my goals.

Missguided x Varsity Jacket x Memory Lane

Hey Loves,

Today's Blog post is dedicated to those days when you want to take a hold of a trend that you are unsure about but you loved in the past. For me, it was Varsity Jackets. I first saw this jacket on a blogger and ordered it immediately some time in May or June. I completely forgot that I ordered it from Missguided. Now, in case you need to be reminded, I am a woman who shops everywhere. At one point in my life, I only shopped at contemporary stores but since I have fallen completely in love with blogging and vlogging, I shop everywhere. Missguided is a youth store, but if you search really closely, you can find what you want. I meant to shoot this earlier so that you could get it before it sold out, so I will link a similar jacket

This jacket reminds me of High School. All the football players and cheerleaders had varsity jackets and while my journey took me in a different direction, I yearned for one every since. I choose at 42 to take a hold of this trend because of the tough luxe feel of it. I love the tiger on the back and the leather sleeves.

This is one fashion risk I am glad I took.

OOTD

Hey Loves,

Welcome to my first official #OOTD. I have been wanting to add this feature for a while but I wanted to make sure that I included it into my content planning. My goal was to show a bit more of my edgier side and how I take a few more fashion risks. In the past, I would never have shown my stomach. But, because I have been working out and looking a little bit more fit, i took a personal style risk, and brought this ZARA top.
